In the occupied Palestinian territory (oPt) Palestinian women with breast cancer face many challenges to accessing continuous and effective medical care.

Working with our local partners, we have created a specialist network of oncologists and other medical professionals who are helping to build capacity within local breast cancer teams to provide lifesaving treatment and support for Palestinian women facing breast cancer.

However in Gaza, dwindling medical supplies – including chemotherapy drugs – and restrictions on the exit of patients to specialised hospitals in the West Bank, including East Jerusalem, detrimentally affect the treatment available to Palestinian women affected by the disease.

Below you can read accounts of Palestinian women affected by breast cancer and the many difficulties they face accessing care:

MAP's projects help ensure that Palestinian women can receive the care and support they need when diagnosed with breast cancer. Your gift could help many more women survive.
