Since the “Great March of Return” protests began in Gaza on 30 March 2018, many protesters have been killed and thousands injured. The demonstrations have been demanding the right of refugees to return to their historic homelands and an end to the 13-year blockade and closure of Gaza.
The use of live ammunition by the Israeli forces on unarmed Palestinian protesters has resulted in horrific gunshot injuries. Many of those injured have needed complex surgeries to reconstruct shattered bones. As well as ongoing rehabilitation. For a health service in Gaza already at breaking point, the task has been immense.
With the help of supporters like you, MAP has already spent more than £1 million on limb reconstruction supplies, but we still need to do more. Please can you help us with a gift today.
