How you will be supported
MAP's fundraising team is ready to help and support your training, fundraising and travel on the trip. This is a challenging cycle ride and we have tips and advice on how to prepare before the event, as well as support on making sure you can raise the £2,600 minimum sponsorship target.
MAP has partnered with Experience Jordan, a local tour centre who specialise in treks and rides in Jordan. Their local knowledge, experience and expertise will ensure that Cycle Jordan will be a memorable experience for everyone.
Why you should cycle for MAP
The money raised from these events will go to help support our medical projects supporting Palestinians living under occupation and as refugees.
March update re: COVID-19 - MAP is carefully monitoring the situation in Palestine, Lebanon and Jordan. Sadly cases of COVID-19 have been found in Jordan, the West Bank, Lebanon and now Gaza. We are working hard to support the most vulnerable in Gaza and the refugee camps of Lebanon by supplying hygiene kits for those in quarantine, disinfectant, protective clothing and preparing medical items for the days ahead. Travel restrictions are currently in place across Jordan but we expect these will be lifted over the hot summer period into September, so we are planning to go ahead with Cycle Jordan 2020.
If we do have to postpone Cycle Jordan 2020, we will either move the date or offer an alternative event such as Cycle Palestine. Donations collected over the next few months will help us immensely to cope with the extra pressure this virus is putting on the already fragile health systems in Palestine. Thank you so much for your continued support.
