What will be discussed?

This week MAP will join UNRWA, the World Health Organization and leading health experts to discuss the situation of Palestinians amid the COVID-19 pandemic.

The virtual 73rd World Health Assembly side event will explore possible ways to address of the socioeconomic and political determinants of health. Panellists will discuss and analyse how they negatively affect the well-being of Palestinian refugees who live in extremely volatile and challenging environments, and ways to deliver lifesaving and essential health services to them, especially amid the COVID-19 pandemic which has amplified the mostly man-made vulnerabilities of the Palestinian population.
