MAP at the Ramadan Tent Project in London

Under the banner of our 50 Days of Action campaign, MAP has been involved with the Open Iftar Project at Malet Street Gardens, London. The initiative started in 2013 with the aim to provide people with a better understanding of the spirit and essence of Ramadan and create greater cross-community cohesion.

During this year's Ramadan the project is welcoming hundreds of guests every evening during Ramadan creating a truly inspirational community spirit. One of the highlights this year was a speech by Professor Tariq Ramadan, who took part in our campaign ‘We demand Health and Dignity for Palestinians’ campaign last week.

The response MAP received was overwhelming. This was not only mirrored in the many kind donations we received but through the number of individuals showing interest in our work, and wanting to be actively involved with supporting Palestinians living in the occupied territories and as refugees.

This year’s campaign ‘We demand Health and Dignity for Palestinians’ represents a vital message of our work; to deliver vital health and medical care to Palestinian communities and those worst affected by conflict, occupation and displacement. We ask you to take action by demanding Health and Dignity for Palestinians and supporting our 50 Days of Action campaign.

We would like to thank all the amazing volunteers for the warm welcome and support which was shown towards MAP. We look forward to taking part and sharing this experience again next year.
