Bristol event: Palestinian refugees, pledge for protection and safety

The Palestine Museum and Cultural Centre is bringing together organisations and experts in Bristol to discuss the current situation of Palestinian refugees around the world. The purpose of the event is to learn more about the experiences and rights of Palestinian refugees in camps and in Britain.

Saturday 30th September 2017 at 14:00 – 18:00

Speakers on the day will include:

Ghada Karmi, Palestinian doctor of medicine, author and academic

Dr Swee Chai Ang, Author of From Beirut to Jerusalem and Founder of Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP)

Ahmad Latham, BADIL Resource Centre for Palestinian Residency and Refugee Rights

Cynthia Orchard, Legal Policy Officer at Asylum Aid/Migrants Resource Centre and member of the advisory committee for the European Network of Statelessness

Johanna Bezzano, University of Liverpool Law Clinic Solicitor specialising in statelessness

Pietro Stefanini, Researcher and Advocacy Coordinator and the Palestinian Return Centre (PRC)

There will be a short interval in the middle with refreshments.
