Occupation and closure policies constitute major impediments to Palestinians’ rights to health and dignity. MAP and Amnesty International UK are honoured to host Professor Michael Lynk and Julie Elliott MP to discuss the UN Special Rapporteur's latest report on Palestinians’ right to health, which he will have presented to the United Nations Human Rights Council in Geneva a week earlier.

Professor Michael Lynk is an associate Professor of Law at Western University in London, Ontario. He was appointed UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the Palestinian territories occupied since 1967 in March 2016, and took up the position in May 2016. His most recent report questions the legality of Israel’s occupation.

Julie Elliott MP (Sunderland Central, Labour) visited the West Bank with MAP and Caabu in October 2017.

A reception will follow the Q&A.

Hope to see you there!
