A Night for Gaza: Charity Iftar Dinner

MAP would like to thank the community of Walthamstow, in northern-east London, for their incredibly successful Iftar Charity Dinner last weekend. The event was pulled together in just 2 weeks and was made a huge success by a team of volunteers and the generosity of the local community.

MAP's Community Fundraiser, Zahra Yassine attended the event along with Ahmed Al Qanou, a physiotherapist from the Limb Reconstruction Unit at Al Shifa Hospital in Gaza. Ahmed is currently in London, training at Kings College Hospital and was especially happy to attend and listen to the speech by MAP's co-founder, Dr. Swee.

The community raised over £21,000 on the night, and will be hosting more fundraising events for MAP this summer, so watch this space!

If you too want to organise a community fundraising event, get in touch with us at [email protected]. Ideas welcome, no matter how big or small.

Thank you, Walthamstow!
