I stand with Palestine’s next generation
Violence, discrimination and dispossession have blighted the lives of Palestinians for 75 years. Three generations have been denied their rights to health and dignity by occupation, blockade and forced exile. Now a fourth generation of Palestinians is being born into this devastating context.
A PALESTINIAN BABY BORN IN GAZA TODAY faces a future without freedom or dignity, trapped by Israel’s blockade. With grinding poverty, high risk of malnutrition, and a collapsing health system, their life expectancy is nearly ten years lower than a baby born in Israel.
A PALESTINIAN CHILD IN EAST JERUSALEM is growing up amid the daily trauma of violence, instability and discrimination. Instead of normal childhood concerns of friends and school, they must worry about their being home demolished and brutal treatment by Israeli forces.
A PALESTINIAN HEALTH WORKER IN THE WEST BANK navigates checkpoints, obstructions and a lack of basic resources as they try to save lives. All the while, they know there is no protection from Israeli settler and military violence for them or their family.
AN ELDERLY PALESTINIAN REFUGEE IN LEBANON lives in an overcrowded, neglected and crumbling refugee camp. The home they were forced to flee 75 years ago is just a memory, as they worry about what future their grandchildren and great-grandchildren will have.
Together we must stand with Palestinians young and old, and help them build the brighter future they deserve. They cannot afford to wait any longer.
