Thank you to The National for supporting Medical Aid for Palestinian's response to the emergency situation in Gaza. Please give an urgent donation today.
After five months of relentless bombing, the humanitarian crisis in Gaza is only getting worse. More children's lives than ever are at risk. But as stocks of essential supplies run low, we urgently need your support to help procure and deliver more vital medical aid and shelter supplies.
The scale of this emergency is unprecedented, and we need your help urgently to do more.
Currently, MAP is one of the few organisations able to deliver aid in to Gaza. So far, we’ve sent 27 trucks carrying over $3 million worth of essential medical aid through the Rafah crossing, and our dedicated MAP team is working right now to distribute that aid where it is most needed.
MAP is delivering trauma-focused medicines, disposables and surgical equipment in response to the injuries our Emergency Medical Teams and local doctors are seeing on the ground. Since January, we have expanded our response efforts to address the diverse health needs of the community in Gaza, including crucial medical supplies for those with heart-related issues, various forms of cancer and diabetes.
In the North of Gaza, MAP is one of the only International organisation operating on the ground despite immensely challenging circumstances. Last week, MAP delivered desperately needed drugs and disposables to hospitals in the North. Our Gaza team is also supporting displaced families in the North by providing essential relief items in our hygiene kits and clothes packs. These items are crucial for preventing the rising spread of diseases, maintaining a sense of dignity during displacement, and protecting those displaced from their homes from the harsh winter conditions they are facing.
Please give a gift today and help us ensure that Palestinian health workers have the medical resources they need as soon as possible. Thank you.
If you would like to do more, please consider setting up a regular gift. Your regular support will mean that we can continue to respond now and in the future. Many thanks.
