After two months of a temporary ceasefire in Gaza, Israel has resumed its brutal military assault, shattering the ceasefire and unleashing more suffering on Palestinians. Hospitals are at breaking point, medical supplies are running dangerously low, and families are once again being forced from their homes with nowhere safe to turn. The world cannot stay silent as Palestinians endure these atrocities yet again.
Israel’s total siege of aid and cutoff of electricity to Gaza is a cruel act of collective punishment against Palestinians, in clear violation of international law.
Unless it is lifted, the effects will be catastrophic – diseases are spreading, babies are dying from hypothermia and there is real risk of mass starvation. The UK Government, and the world at large, must not standby and allow this to become the new normal.
Israel’s latest attacks come in the context of US President Donald Trump’s proposal to remove two million Palestinians from Gaza, a plan which has been endorsed by the Israeli government. This dangerous plan for ethnic cleansing would violate international law and Palestinians’ rights to self-determination. It also emboldens those responsible for the shocking levels of Israeli military and settler violence, and forcible displacement of Palestinians in the occupied West Bank.
The fate of two million Palestinians in Gaza – and the very foundations of international law – hang in the balance.
Palestinians in Gaza do not need ultimatums and threats. Add your voice to call on the UK Government to enforce a permanent ceasefire, challenge the racist dehumanisation of the Palestinian people, ensure Palestinians can stay on their land, and prevent further atrocities in Gaza.
Email your MP today and ask them to stand in solidarity with Palestinians against Trump’s threats and Israel’s military attacks.
