Medical volunteers

Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) works alongside an exceptional volunteer network of highly skilled specialists from the UK and across the world, who play a vital role in delivering specialised care and capacity-building initiatives in Gaza, the West Bank (including East Jerusalem) and Lebanon.

Programmes are delivered in person and remotely, depending on operational needs.

Specialist roles we are actively recruiting

We are particularly seeking volunteers across the following disciplines. Arabic speakers are strongly encouraged to apply.

  • Plastic, Vascular, Orthopaedic & Limb reconstruction surgeons
  • Anaesthetists
  • Operating theatre (OR) nurses
  • Non-communicable disease (NCD) physicians
  • Breast cancer specialists
  • Neonatal specialists
  • Mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) professionals
I highly recommend MAP for medical deployment. Not only did I feel safe and in good hands, but I also felt the team went above and beyond to help us prepare and be ready for deployment. Their communication was prompt and clear, and the training and team bonding before deployment really helped us as a team to make the best of our trip in delivering as much as we could.
