Thinking about taking part in Stride with Medical Aid for Palestinians? This page answers the most common questions about the event.
What happens if I don’t meet the minimum fundraising target?
Not meeting your minimum fundraising target means that it is likely to cost the charity money. If you are concerned that this might happen, please let us know as soon as possible so that we can offer help and guidance.

When is the deadline to finish my stride?
Stride for Palestinians 2026 runs from the 1st to the 31st October, you will have 0:00am on 31st October to finish your stride.
You can still receive donations on your page when the event closes.
When will I receive my bespoke stride t-shirt?
You will receive your Stride T-shirt a few days after you have activated your fundraising page by receiving your first donation. We will be in touch with you if there are any delays.
Do I have to fundraise on Enthuse?
While fundraising through Enthuse isn't mandatory, Stride uses the platform's unique features to help you follow your journey on a virtual map and celebrate your progress with milestone emails.

Can I receive donations to my fundraising page when the event is finished?
Yes, you can receive donations on your fundraising page even after Stride is finished. As long as you keep your fundraising page open, donations will be accepted.
Can I still sign up if I missed the registration deadline?
Unfortunately, we won’t be able to accommodate any late registrations. We have a strict cut-off to ensure we can prepare and send out event packs and bespoke t-shirts in time.
Are donations to stride fundraising pages Zakat eligible?
Unfortunately, donations made through Stride’s fundraising pages are not eligible for Zakat. This is because we use the Enthuse platform, which deducts administrative and processing fees. As a result, we cannot guarantee that 100% of your donation will reach those in need, which is a key requirement for Zakat eligibility.
Can I log distances before the event starts?
You can only log distances on your page once Stride has started on the 7th October, and not before. However, you can receive donations on your page before this date.
How can I complete my stride?
We strongly encourage participants to walk, run, cycle or push to meet their goal. However, feel free to take on the challenge in a way that best suits your accessibility needs.
Why does MAP ask for an entry fee and a fundraising pledge?
Putting on Stride comes with costs, including; designing and providing bespoke t-shirts, paying to use the enthuse platform, and supporting participants along the way.
The registration fee and pledge ensure that MAP can put on Stride and maximise the funds that go directly to our work.
Can I take part as a team?
Absolutely. Thanks to Collective Effort on Enthuse, you can choose to complete the challenge on your own, or join a team and work together to reach the target distance.
Do all team members need to pay the registration fee?
Yes. Each participant must pay the registration fee when they sign up, even if they are joining as part of a team.
Is the fundraising target per team or per person?
The fundraising target is per person. Each team member is responsible for raising £250.
How are the funds I raise paid in?
You do not need to transfer the funds yourself. Enthuse automatically sends your donations to us, so no further action is required.
Where will the funds I raise be spent?
All funds raised will go towards supporting our projects and local partners in Gaza, the West Bank and Lebanon.
