We can’t hide away from the fact we are all connected and that no human should suffer at the hands of another.

Marching for Palestine (MFP) solidarity sisters came together after October 7th from all over the world, united with one outlook and goal.

Formed through Instagram connections, Yasmine Say set up a WhatsApp group to organise attending marches together, while sharing her Palestinian father’s story. The group grew substantially as the online momentum to fight for Palestinian rights grew.

After 3 years, the group has grown to over 40 members stretching across the UK, and even all the way to Germany and the US. They regularly attend marches as a collective and get together socially to support each other.

Ah, my MFP tribe – honestly, I wouldn’t have survived the last 3 years without these incredible women!

After Yasmine ran the London Marathon for Medical Aid for Palestinians (MAP) earlier this year, she encouraged the rest of the team to take part in Stride for Palestinians 2026 starting on Nakba day. Together they started the 186km stride from Nablus to southern Gaza.

They used their WhatsApp group to cheer each other on through the long journey, sharing successes and milestones.

As I live in Belfast, Northern Ireland, I really found their support so important and invaluable with helping me succeed. Our daily chats were so amazing.

Through their incredible joint fundraising efforts, March for Palestine were able to raise over £6,000 for MAP to support our efforts in delivering vital medical aid and care for Palestinians in Gaza, the West Bank including East Jerusalem and Lebanon. We are so grateful for their support.

Through their shared desire to stand up for Palestinians, the March for Palestine group have forged lasting friendships, and are always encouraging more people to join the fight.

Palestine showed me my true purpose: to use whatever privilege you have for good. MFP gave us all a safe space to do exactly that — together, so none of us ever feel alone in our grief.

Taking part in Stride for Palestinians

When asked what they would say to anyone thinking of taking part in Stride, one of the MFP Solidarity Sisters, Cheryll Davidson, told us:

"Do it. Bring people who care the way you do — the connections you build along the way become as meaningful as the walk itself. And go in knowing why you’re doing it: for me, it’s to make sure the stories of the women and mothers I’ve come to know in Gaza are heard, and that people understand what the Palestinians are facing, there is no ceasefire and the genocide continues. That purpose carries you further than the miles do."

Another Solidarity Sister, Lynette Murray, echoed: "DO IT! Not only are you raising awareness and money for an exceptional charity, but you will also bond with your teammates, and you really do feel such a high for doing so."

Good luck striders taking on October’s Stride for Palestinians 2026. In the words of MFP Solidarity Sisters, “together we stride, together we stand with Palestine, together we fight for humanity.”
