Muzz
In 2022, Muzz raised over £250,000 for MAP's campaign to fund two mobile health clinics in Area C of the West Bank. This generous contribution facilitated the expansion of much-needed medical access to an Israeli-controlled region comprising over 60% of the West Bank. Israel’s military occupation and discriminatory policies mean that there are no permanent healthcare facilities for Palestinians in Area C, while movement restrictions – such as checkpoints and roadblocks – obstruct access to clinics and hospitals in other areas. Muzz' sponsorship of mobile health clinics has facilitated flexible and mobile medical care to Palestinians residing in largely isolated and inaccessible communities. In 2023, Muzz continued to fundraise for MAP, generating an incredible £161,000, and bringing their total contribution to over £400,000 in two years!
"From being randomly invited to a MAP charity update dinner, I was so impressed with their real world impact in one of the toughest parts of the world, I was determined to ensure Muzz did all we can to support their work. Quickly and efficiently we came up with a solid project to deliver two mobile clinics and raise further funds for supplies, and over the course of a few months, our members and Muzz raised over £400,000 - one of our fastest and best received campaigns. This speaks to the real legacy that we at Muzz hope to leave, and is only possible with the great work of partners on the ground such as MAP who work tirelessly to help the Palestinian people who have been subjected to decades of inhumane treatment at the hands of the occupying Israeli forces." – Shahzad Younas, CEO and Founder at Muzz
The Co-operative Group
Since the end of 2024, thousands of premature babies and critically ill or wounded children in Gaza now receive life-saving treatment thanks to an incredible £100,000 donation from the Co-op. This gift established Neo-natal and Paediatric Intensive Care Units at the Patient’s Friends Benevolent Society Hospital that are pivotal to the survival of infants and children who depend on specialised medical equipment that are otherwise unavailable due to the systematic destruction of Gaza’s healthcare system. Aligning their funding with their values, the Co-op has since worked with MAP to deepen their understanding of the Palestinian context and use their platform to strongly advocate for Palestinian rights.
"The Co-op is owned by 7.1 million members who have made it very clear that they want their co-op to do everything it can to help address conflict and the suffering it causes. So, when we had the chance to support those most in need, we knew it was not only aligned with our values and principles but also what our members wanted us to do.
We’re very proud to support MAP’s vital work helping people in Palestine. Knowing we’ve played even a small part in enabling professionals on the ground to do what they do best is humbling and inspiring in the same measure." - Paul Gerrard, Campaigns, Public Affairs and Policy Director at The Co-Operative Group
