Protecting and promoting rights

On this page

For Palestinians living under occupation or in forced exile, daily life too often means confronting violence, displacement and deprivation. Families are torn apart, homes are lost, and basic rights are denied.

At MAP, we believe that health and dignity go hand in hand. Our work doesn’t stop at medical care – we’re standing with communities to protect lives, defend rights, and build resilience in the face of ongoing injustice. Our efforts include:

  • Providing safe and inclusive access to life-saving protection services for survivors and people at risk of gender-based violence.
  • Addressing the immediate material and psychosocial needs of vulnerable groups, including children, who may be separated from their families, ex-detainees, survivors of torture, the elderly, people with disabilities, women who may be at risk of harm, and youth.
  • Supporting and empowering communities – always the first, and best, responder – to prevent further harm and help meet the needs of survivors of rights violations.
