MAP supporter Honor Blackman passes away at 94

Honor Blackman

The legendary actress and long-term supporter of MAP’s work for over 15 years, Honor Blackman sadly passed away this week. She died aged 94 and is survived by her two children and grandchildren.

She starred in many legendary films including 'The Avengers', 'Jason & the Argonauts', of course the James Bond classic 'Goldfinger'. She also played Laura West in the 90's sitcom 'The Upper Hand'.

Honor was a committed campaigner and activist of many causes, including MAP’s projects in Palestine and Lebanon. She also campaigned for the Liberal party and later became a member of the Liberal Democrats. Former Lib Dem leader Tim Farron added: “You could guarantee bums on seats at any event Honor was at. She was charismatic, principled and kind.”

We are incredibly grateful for Honor's support over the years, and our thoughts are with her family and close friends at this time.
